Discovery Trail, Squamish,
BC - Located
within the community of Squamish, British Columbia, Canada, this
3.3 KM walking trail leads all explorers along a brush lined, tree
covered, walking path following the shores of a Tidal Slough located
north of the village.
The easy grade, mostly gravel, walking trail meanders
amongst buildings and schools, past a skateboard park and behind
the backroad streets. The walking trail starts in town leading to
Dentville and ending at Commercial Way and Industrial Way.
The highly used sightseeing trail cuts through some
fields of grass, crosses over wooden bridges and zig zags through
trees and shrubbery. It is often used to get to and from the village
from the downtown core to the industrial centre.
The Discovery Trail provides, locals and visitors,
an excellent opportunity to enjoy a few hours hiking while staying
within the community boundaries. The trail draws the attention of
walkers, mountain bikers, joggers and bird watchers. The most used
trailhead access points are identified by post markers located at
the corner of Cleveland Ave and Hunter Place... and on Carson Place
(another street).

trailhead access points are located in the village of Squamish.
One is located at the corner of Cleveland Avenue and Hunter Place
(beside the McDonalds parking lot) while the other access point
is located on Carson Place (behind Capilano College and Squamish
Elementary School).
