River Rafting & Jet Boating - Sea to Sky Country is a very mountainous region with ranging rivers cutting through valleys heading towards the ocean. It is these rivers that provide the Class 2 - 5 white water rivers for kayaking, river rafting and jet boating companies to operate.

Many of the popular rivers navigated by thrill seekers pass through the villages of Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton BC, Canada. Some of the rafting and jet boating rivers are more suited for the family while others are Class 4 or 5 rivers providing high octane thrill rides.

River Rafting on the Cheakamus River near Whistler, BC is ideal for families as it is a less turbulent experience. Families can enjoy the thrill of floating down a river while providing thrills that a child can enjoy safely. The river tour provides views of the surrounding Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains plus an opportunity to see bird wildlife.

There is so much to see and do in Sea to Sky Country. If time is tight and, yet, the urge for white water is still haunting you then a shorter river tour down the Green River near Whistler Village or the Birkenhead River near Pemberton is the trick. The Green River is a shorter river route that offers some rapids and currents. While the Birkenhead River provides a more continuous white water experience.

The Elaho-Squamish Rivers cutting through the region is one of the more popular rivers because of the scenery, the length of the river and the amount of white water encountered during a rafting tour. The river route propels rafting guests pass glacier views, old growth forest and waterfalls. An Elaho-Squamish River rafting tour provides the best opportunity to view wildlife as it is a more remote waterway.

Jet Boating in Sea to Sky Country is mainly reserved for the Lillooet River near Pemberton, BC, Canada. Jet Boats are designed to operate on inches of water as they maneuver through whitewater, around boulders and over gravel bars. Some of the tours include a trip navigating the river to the foot of Nairn Falls. A trip that often provides a good opportunity to view various wildlife like bears, moose and deer.
