Valley Trail -
A very, well maintained paved community trail exploring the Village
of Whistler, BC, Canada and the surrounding lakes, parks and residential
areas. The pathway acts as a transportation link connecting various
parts of the community together accessed by hikers,
walkers, bikers, roller bladders, joggers, dog walkers, xc skiers
and snowshoers.
The Valley Trail is a year round route
enabling people to travel from Alpha Lake in the northeast to Green
Lake in the southwest. Summer or winter, the 35 kilometre (22 mi.)
route provides access to retail shops, ski hills and parks.
The Valley Trail is a great way to see the community on foot or
by bike. Many use the trail to access some of the parks in the area
like Alpha Lake Park, Lakeside park, Rainbow
Park, Whistler Villages and
Lost Lake Park.
The trail is growing as the community grows with extensions to
the trail in the works leading to Function Junction and to the Cheakamus
region.
Trail Access - The
Valley Trail is accessed from many points within the community.
Access the trail from any point between Alpha lake and Green lake.
